Amid the ongoing Israel-Hezbollah war, International Criminal Court’s decision has sent shockwaves. In a major blow to Netanyahu, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against him on November 21, 2024. Notably, Israel’s ex defence chief, as well as a Hamas leader, Ibrahim Al-Masri, were included in the warrant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. The decision was met with an outrage in Israel, where Benjamin Netanyahu’s supporters expressed their disappointment on ICC warrant. Netanyahu's office said the ICC decision was "anti-semitic" and he will "not yield to pressure, will not be deterred" until Israel's war objectives are met. The EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, said the decision was not a political one but made by a court and thus should be respected and implemented. Notably, Israel's 13-month campaign in Gaza has killed about 44,000 Palestinians and displaced nearly all the enclave's population, Gaza officials say.
22 November,2024 12:34 PM ISTIsrael's military has killed Hezbollah's Media Chief, Mohammad Afif, after a strike in Beirut on November 17. Afif, who had close ties with Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and managed the group's Al-Manar TV station, was a key target for the IDF due to his role in Hezbollah's media operations. His death follows increased tensions, with Hezbollah launching nearly 200 rockets at Israeli border areas on November 11, in retaliation for Israel's actions during the ongoing conflict that began with Hamas' attack on October 7. Israel's military has stepped up its operations against Hezbollah, and Naim Qassem, a senior Hezbollah leader, may be the next target. The group has strongholds in southern Beirut, a key area for Hezbollah's influence.
19 November,2024 12:15 PM ISTThe war in the Middle East has been ongoing for over a year, with the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) making significant strides against Hezbollah. Reports indicate that Hezbollah’s media chief, Mohammad Afif, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a building in Beirut, though Hezbollah has not confirmed this. Afif, a close associate of Hezbollah's former leader Nasrallah, managed the group's Al-Manar TV before heading its media relations. The IDF has intensified its operations after Hezbollah launched nearly 200 rockets into Israel on November 11, 2023, in retaliation for the Hamas attack on October 7. With many top Hezbollah commanders eliminated, the group’s leadership, now under Naim Qassem, is facing increased pressure, and he may be the next target for Israeli forces.
18 November,2024 02:19 PM ISTOn November 15th, Israeli Defence Forces launched airstrike in Lebanon’s Beirut. The airstrike flattened a residential building on the edge of Beirut's suburbs as the building was levelled to the ground. A large fireball and smoke could be seen billowing from the strike impact as people gathered at the scene. The strike followed 50 minutes after an Israeli evacuation warning for the area, a densely packed neighbourhood. No information about the casualties or injuries was not immediately reported from the strike. The strike came after Hezbollah fired nearly 200 rockets in Haifa on November 11 in a bid to avenge the killing of its top leaders. Lebanese militant group Hezbollah started firing rockets into Israeli border communities after Hamas’ attack in Israel on Oct 7, 2023. The unstoppable Israeli forces have nearly eliminated all the top commanders of Hezbollah and other Iranian proxies. Currently, Naim Qassem is leading an almost dismantled Hezbollah and is probably the next target of the IDF.
16 November,2024 01:06 PM ISTThe Middle East is caught in the middle of the ongoing Israel vs. Hezbollah conflict. On November 13, Hezbollah fired a barrage of rockets into northern Israel, many of which were intercepted by Israel’s powerful air defense systems. The Israeli military confirmed that 20 rockets were stopped, though one rocket hit a house in Ma’alot-Tarshiha. Fortunately, no one was hurt. In response, Israel launched airstrikes on Hezbollah-controlled areas in southern Beirut for the second day in a row. This increase in violence comes amid Israel's ongoing war in Gaza, further raising tensions across the region. The situation remains tense, with both sides continuing to exchange fire, adding to the instability in the Middle East
14 November,2024 02:45 PM ISTOn November 11, 2024, Hezbollah fired nearly 200 rockets into Israel, targeting Haifa, which set off sirens and caused significant fires in Kiryat Ata. Videos from Israel’s MDA ambulance service showed buildings and vehicles burning. An Israeli woman described narrowly escaping death, saying there was "only a second" between life and death. Despite the barrage, many rockets were intercepted by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). Hezbollah’s ramped-up attacks follow the killing of its leaders by Israeli forces. Hezbollah has been launching daily rockets and drones since Hamas' October 7 assault on Israel, in retaliation for the deaths of its top commanders. With much of its leadership dismantled, Hezbollah is now led by Naim Qassem, who is likely to be the next target for the IDF. Watch video for more.
12 November,2024 05:25 PM ISTOn November 11, 2024, Hezbollah launched nearly 200 rockets into Israel, hitting Haifa and surrounding areas. The attack triggered air raid sirens and caused significant fires and damage in the Kiryat Ata suburb, east of Haifa. Videos from Israel's ambulance service showed buildings and vehicles on fire. This increase in rocket and drone attacks by Hezbollah is in retaliation for the killing of their top leaders by Israeli forces. Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed militant group, began firing rockets into Israeli border communities after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Despite the attacks, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully targeted and killed many of Hezbollah’s senior commanders. Now, Naim Qassem, the group's current leader, is considered a likely target for the IDF as the group’s leadership continues to crumble.

11 November,2024 12:21 PM ISTIn a big blow to Israel-Hamas ceasefire attempts, Qatar has backed down from its ceasefire mediation in Gaza. Qatar said that it will stall efforts to mediate a ceasefire until Israel & Hamas show "willingness and seriousness" to resume talks. However, there was no official response from Hamas or Israel to the statement given by the Qatar Foreign Ministry. The latest round of talks in mid-October failed to produce a deal, with Hamas rejecting a short-term ceasefire proposal. Israel on several occasions rejected ceasefire or temporary ceasefire proposals for a longer truce. Notably, the Gulf country has been working alongside the US, and Egypt for months on fruitless talks between the warring sides in Gaza. Notably, Qatar has hosted Hamas political leaders since 2012 as part of a deal with the US, and the group's presence there has facilitated the progress of talks. The country hosts the largest US airbase in the Middle East but also allows Hamas and Afghanistan's Taliban to operate offices in Doha. It is unclear how many Hamas officials live in Doha, but they include several possible replacements for killed Hamas Chief Sinwar. The group's previous leader Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Iran in July was also based in Doha and his body was flown to Qatar for burial.
