Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta tragically passed away at 62 on Wednesday, September 11, following the prayer meet held on Friday night, September 13, celebrities including Gauri Khan, Bhavana Panday, Seema Sajdeh, Shibani Dandekar, Karisma Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Malaika and Arbaaz Khan's son Arhaan Khan, visited the family home on Sunday to offer their support to Malaika and her mother Joyce Polycarp. Salman Khan's Ex Sangeeta Bijlani was also spotted leaving Arora's residence.

The prayer meet for Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta, was held at 'Ayesha Manor' in Bandra on Friday evening. Numerous Bollywood stars gathered to pay their respects. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, and Shweta Bachchan stood united with the Arora family, including Khan family members, ex-husband Arbaaz Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, and Alvira Khan, who came together to support the Arora sisters in the wake of the tragedy. The star kids from the Khan side of the family, Arhaan, Ayaan, Alizeh, and Nirvaan (alongside his rumoured girlfriend), were also seen exiting the house.

Late at night after the last rites of Malaika Arora's father Anil Mehta, Salman Khan was seen arriving at the Bollywood star's parents' house. Salman Khan wore a casual navy blue shirt with light blue distressed jeans and black shoes. As Salman walked alongside his security personnel, he appeared serious and composed. On the day of the death, Malaika's ex-husband Arbaaz Khan and the entire Khan family, including Salim Khan, Salma Khan, and Sohail Khan had turned up to show support. Other Bollywood celebrities who came to support the grieving family were Bollywood actresses like Shilpa Shetty, Kriti Sanon, Dia Mirza, and Sonali Bendre. Ex-beau Arjun Kapoor and ex-husband Arbaaz Khan were also present, along with the sister duo Kareena and Karisma Kapoor, who are best friends of the Arora sisters.
