Sudarshan Setu: PM Modi to dedicate longest cable-stayed bridge to nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate Sudarshan Setu to the nation which will connect Okha mainland to Beyt Dwarka island. It is built at a cost of around Rs 980 crores. It is the longest Cable-stayed bridge in the country of around 2.32 km. Sudarshan Setu boasts a unique design, featuring a footpath adorned with verses from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Bhagwan Krishna on both sides. It also has solar panels installed on the upper portions of the footpath, generating one megawatt of electricity. This bridge will ease the transportation and significantly reduce the time of devotees travelling between Dwarka and Beyt-Dwarka. Before the bridge’s construction, pilgrims had to rely on boat transport to reach Beyt Dwarka. This iconic bridge will also serve as a major tourist attraction of Devbhumi Dwarka.

Meanwhile, Farmer leader Naresh Tikait arrived in Haridwar and took medals from the wrestlers and sought five-day time. Amid this, Indian Boxer and Congress leader Vijender Singh showed support to the Indian wrestlers. He appealed to the people of India to come in support of the players. Meanwhile, reacting to the ongoing protests, Bharatiya Janata Party leader and the President of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that he will hang himself if proven guilty. Sports Minister Anurag Thakur talked to the media regarding the wrestler’s protest and he asked the wrestlers to have faith in the police and judiciary.
