Russia on Aug 11 launched the Luna-25 mission to Moon’s South Pole, its first lunar lander in 47 years. Greetings and best wishes were extended from India’s end on the successful launch of the Luna-25 mission. Taking to Twitter, ISRO wished for both Chandrayaan-3 and Luna-25 and said, “Another Meeting Point”. Russian lunar mission, the first since 1976, is racing against India’s Chandrayaan-3 for Moon’s South Pole. Just like India’s Chandrayaan-3, Russia aims to make a soft landing on the lunar south pole. Notably, Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar exploration mission, lifted off back on July 14.
