The Israeli army claims to have recovered the body of Hamas’ Gaza chief, Mohammed Sinwar, from a tunnel beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis. The IDF says the tunnel was a major Hamas command centre. DNA evidence confirmed Sinwar’s identity. Another senior Hamas leader, Mohammad Shabana, was also reportedly killed in the operation. Hamas has yet to respond. The site revealed weapons, documents, and signs of Hamas activity, according to Israeli forces.
