Melbourne: Hillary Clinton recently got New York City’s department store Bergdorf Goodman locked down to get a $600 (approx Rs 38,500) haircut at the John Barrett Salon. It is being said that the 67-year-old US Presidential candidate was spotted being ushered through a side entrance of the store yesterday.

Private business
The staff closed off one side of Bergdorf’s so that Clinton could come in privately to get her hair done and an elevator bank was also shut down so she could ride up alone, a source said.

Clinton was styled in a private area of the salon and other customers couldn’t get a glimpse of her. Clinton is reportedly a regular client of John Barrett, who charges $600 for a haircut. An additional $600 is tacked on for a dye job.

Not the only one!
Clinton isn’t the only Democrat presidential candidate to receive a high-priced coiffe, either. In 2007, Democrat candidate John Edwards received two haircuts that cost $400 (approximately Rs 25,500) each from Beverly Hills stylist Joseph Torrenueva.
