Islamabad: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahirul Qadri ended his sit-in protest Tuesday, only to restart its new stage in December in the port city of Karachi.

Addressing the participants of his sit-in in Islamabad, he told them to pack their belongings and return to their homes. The sit-in lasted for over two months, Geo News reported.

Qadri announced to stage his next demonstration in Karachi Dec 25.

He said the next revolutionary sit-in would be staged in Karachi, adding, PAT would spread protests in all major cities of the country.

Later, Qadri and all the PAT workers left the venue of the sit-in.

Tahirul Qadri-led PAT and Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had launched their anti-government protests on the same day Aug 14.

While cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan continues his agitation in the capital city, the PAT announced to wrap up its sit-in after staging it for a period of 70 days.

Imran Khan, however, reiterated his resolve not to leave the site of his sit-in till he gets justice.
