According to the British media, Tasha de Vasconcelos' autobiography, due to hit the shelves soon, reveals how Charles flirted openly with her at the exclusive do, asking her for a "private catwalk show".

And all of this, right under the nose of Camilla Parker Bowles who, naturally, was not amused. The 42-year-old model and actress claims she and Charles (62), shared a series of amorous exchanges.

It apparently started with a "clumsy" chat-up line and "seductive smile" from Charles in 1999, but the Prince of Wales certainly picked up the pace at a soiree in Syon House, the Duke of Northumberland's West London home.

There, de Vasconcelos claims, "During the evening, I saw his eyes glance over my necklace, which lit up my face, and to the more intimate attractions of the curves beneath my Versace dress.

"You are magnificent," he dared to utter. "Would you ever consider a private catwalk show... just for me?"
Vasconcelos says she politely refused.

When Charles bumped into Vasconcelos again, this time at a Macmillan cancer charity dinner with Camilla, he complimented her on her outfit. "Charles came up to me anyway to tell me how beautiful my dress was. A way of reminding me, I suppose, that he was still interested in what was inside it."

In her book, Beauty As A Weapon, de Vasconcelos says she met Prince Charles several times and was invited to Clarence House, as well as to a private lunch with Charles at an unidentified palace.

"Every time our paths crossed, the Prince always stepped away from the hangers-on around him to come over and have a little chat with me. Discreet. Charming. I must say he was my kind of man," boasted the model.

"A real gentleman, elegant and seductive. This man pleased me, and his male instincts could detect that."
And Prince Charles was apparently not the only royal who couldn't put his "male instincts" on hold.

De Vasoncelos claims that the Duke of York rudely asked her if she was a virgin in front of guests. She, however, put him in his place. "A real gentleman never asks that kind of question," she countered.

De Vasconcelos lives in Monaco and counts France's First Lady Carla Bruni among her friends. In the past, she has had to deny rumours about an affair with Prince Albert of Monaco.
