Eminem's comeback single which digs at singer Amy Winehouse seems to be a revenge tactic as she reportedly turned down the offer to work with the rapper. The 'Real Slim Shady' rapper, whose new track We Made You will hit the music stores on April 13, reportedly asked the troubled singer to feature on his next album Relapse, the Sun online reported.
"Eminem has followed Amy's career closely. They have both had drug addiction issues and he empathises with her and hoped to feature her on Relapse. His idea was to make a track as magical as Stan. But unfortunately Amy declined," a source said. "Amy was flattered by the offer. She loves hip-hop and is a big fan of Eminem.
But she didn't feel it was the right thing to do at the present time," another source said. This apparently gave the rapper the reason to poke fun at Winehouse in his latest song. He rapped about her drug troubles and sang, "Amy, rehab never looked so good. I can't wait, I'm going back."
