Karachi: Two remote-controlled bombs hit a passenger train in Pakistan’s Balochistan province yesterday, killing six persons and injuring 14 others. The blasts hit Jaffar Express, which was going towards Rawalpindi from Quetta.

Police said that the bombs were planted on the track at a short distance from each other and exploded within a span of 20 minutes. “Six persons were killed and 14 others injured in the attack,” an official said.

All the injured have been shifted to Quetta where an emergency has been declared at all state-run hospitals.

Balochistan CM Nawaz Sanaullah Zehri condemned the attack. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
