Doses of oral polio, BCG, Hepatitis B, rotavirus, IPV, measles, rubella and BPT are some of the vaccines being given to children. One will see the drive, called Mission Indradhanush, intensified in the coming months, during which infants and toddlers will be given these vaccines.

The drive will become more robust within the limits of the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation (BNMC) In Maharashtra’s Thane district in the next three months, civic officials stated recently.

Since the authorities were unable to administer vaccines to children during the pandemic, a special drive has been undertaken to address the lacunae, with the experts stepping on the gas pedal when it comes to this. It is a week-long drive beginning today (March 7) and there are more than 200 sessions that have been arranged.

It is time now, to make up medically for very many drives and tests that could not be done when Covid-19 cases were raging across. During those times, it was better to put off hospital visits and even some visits to private clinics.

When it comes to Mission Indradhanush, it is vital that parents step up to the plate and ensure that children get all these vaccines. Be proactive, zero in on the sessions and venues and see that whatever vaccines have to be taken are given to the kids.

For others even outside these limits, it may be time to get all check ups done which were put off for reasons beyond our control.

From a gamut of tests to other treatments, it is time to make up for the time and see doctors so that one does not suffer later. Those who had emergencies may have received treatment through the outbreak, yet senior citizens, those who are ill, now need to catch up on all the examinations that have been missed out so far.
