Millions, who worship Lord Rama, have been ecstatic about the construction of the shrine in Ayodhya, which is believed to be Lord Rama's birthplace. People from all walks of life across India, regardless of caste, creed, or socioeconomic standing, have been making donations and offerings to commemorate Ram Mandir inauguration 2024.
Contributions to the Ram Mandir have taken various forms. Over 150,000 activists from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) participated in fundraising campaigns, raising millions of rupees. The Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration programme is a week-long celebration based on ancient Vedic rites, culminating in the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, 2024.
The activities began on January 16th with preparatory rites such as an atonement ceremony, a procession transporting Lord Ram's (Ram Lalla) idol to Ayodhya, and initiation rituals such as Ganesh Ambika puja, Varun puja, Matrika puja, Brahmin Varan, and Vastu puja.
The next days will feature the recitation of sacred scriptures, yagyas (fire sacrifices), and pujas dedicated to various elements of the divine. Finally, on January 22nd, the Pran-Pratishtha of Ram Lalla will take place between 12:15 and 12:45 p.m., officially consecrate the Ram Mandir and open it to worshippers.
