The accused identified as Chandan Singh was arrested by the New Delhi District Police after it received a complaint from Deputy Commissioner of Police (Vigilance) on August 19. Initially, he had sent one porn video on the helpline.
The sender was then requested not to send such videos but he went on to send two more such videos following which a complaint was given, police said today. "We registered a case under appropriate sections under the IT Act at Barakhamba police station and he was arrested.
The mobile phone of the accused which was used in the crime was also recovered from his possession," said Additional Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) SBS Tyagi. During interrogation, the accused claimed that he has sent that video as he wanted to put a stop on the pornographic industry by bringing it to police's notice.
