A Florida man, who has already survived a lightning strike, a rattle snake bite and two different monkey attacks in his lifetime, is currently recovering from a gruesome shark bite in a Tampa Hospital
A part of 40-year-old Erik Norrie’s left leg was torn away by the predator, when he was swimming back to his family, after wrapping up his spearfishing trip in the Abaco Islands in Bahamas, the New York Daily News reported.

Norrie told the publication that he just felt a tremendous power hit his leg and when he looked down, he saw the shark ripping off the side of his leg and eating it.
The Largo resident somehow got rid of the shark and limped to a sandbar, where he created a tourniquet under his knee with a part of his Hawaiian sling spear.
Norrie’s daughter then radioed for aid, and a doctor and her family, who were boating close by, sped over and helped him get onto dry land.
