The Integral Coach Factory in Perambur, Chennai, has unveiled the prototype for the much-anticipated sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express, designed for luxurious overnight travel. This innovative train will cover distances ranging from 800 to 1,200 kilometers, combining comfort with modern design. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has indicated that ticket prices will be on par with the Rajdhani Express, ensuring a premium experience for passengers. The Vande Bharat Sleeper will feature a variety of air-conditioned options, including First AC, 2-tier, and 3-tier coaches, catering to diverse traveler preferences. Scheduled for rollout in 2024, this sleeper train promises to enhance the railway experience in India, making long-distance journeys more comfortable and enjoyable.
