The fishermen families of Sheva Koliwada, displaced by the JNPT Phase 2 project, have been waiting for over 40 years for rehabilitation and compensation. Despite multiple promises from politicians and local authorities, their demands remain unmet. Frustrated by the lack of action, the villagers have now threatened to boycott the upcoming State Legislative Assembly election on November 20. They also plan to launch a major protest on November 26, blocking JNPT’s main navigation channel if their demands are ignored. Watch video for more information.
