In a heartwarming celebration of cultural exchange, seven prominent Ganesh Mandals from Pune have united to observe Ganeshotsav in Jammu and Kashmir for the second year running. The festivities have expanded this year to include Anantnag and Kupwara. The participating Mandals—Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim, Tulshibaug Ganpati, Kesariwada Ganpati Mandal, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, and Akhil Mandai Mandal—recently presented replicas of their revered Ganpati idols to Kashmiri Pandits who had traveled to Pune. These idols will be installed in Kashmir during the festival, symbolizing unity and cultural harmony. This initiative highlights the power of cultural exchange, transcending geographical boundaries. Punit Balan remarked that Ganeshotsav in Kashmir signifies the return of peace and cultural traditions following the abrogation of Article 370. A grand event was held to hand over the idols and honor the visiting Kashmiri guests. Watch video for more.
