On 15th September, Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated six new Vande Bharat Express trains for Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh from Ranchi. The trains will operate on the Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah, and Gaya-Howrah routes. The initial plan was for the PM to flag off the trains from Tatanagar; however, poor visibility and adverse weather conditions prevented his chopper from taking off. Despite this, the launch proceeded virtually. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar were present at Tatanagar station for the event. The Prime Minister`s Office stated that these new Vande Bharat trains will enhance connectivity and provide significant benefits to regular commuters, professionals, business people, and students across the regions.
