PM Narendra Modi on July 15 met UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. During the joint conference, PM Modi affirmed his wish to achieve a ‘landmark’ USD 100 billion trade with UAE before G20. “Last year, we signed Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. The historic agreement within three months would not have been possible without your cooperation and commitment. For that, I cannot thank you enough. Our bilateral trade has grown by 20 per cent. For the first time, we have achieved USD 85 billion in trade. Soon we will achieve the target of USD 100 billion. UAE is at the 4th rank among nations investing in India, said the Prime Minister. Earlier in the day, UAE President was also seen sharing a ‘friendship band’ with PM Modi. PM Narendra Modi also received a ceremonial welcome as he came to meet UAE President.
