Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Abuja, Nigeria, on November 16, marking the start of his three-nation tour to Nigeria, Brazil, and Guyana. Upon his arrival in the capital, he was greeted with a warm and grand welcome. On November 17, PM Modi received a ceremonial welcome and a Guard of Honour at the President’s House in Abuja. Later, he met with members of the Indian Diaspora in Nigeria, who gave him a heartfelt reception at his hotel.
During his visit, PM Modi is focused on strengthening ties between India and Nigeria. After Nigeria, he will travel to Brazil to attend the G20 Leaders` Summit. The final leg of his tour will take him to Guyana, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in over 50 years. The tour is aimed at enhancing diplomatic and economic relations with these nations.
