PM Modi gets ceremonial welcome at Parliament House of Singapore, holds delegation level talks

On September 5, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was warmly welcomed at the Parliament House of Singapore. This visit came shortly after a ministerial roundtable meeting between India and Singapore, which included four Indian ministers and six Singaporean ministers. During his visit, PM Modi held talks with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. In his address, Modi expressed a strong desire to emulate Singapore’s success in India. He congratulated Wong on his new role and praised Singapore as a model for development. Modi mentioned that he wants to build “many Singapores” in India, reflecting his admiration for Singapore’s achievements. He highlighted the ministerial roundtable as a groundbreaking step in enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
