Typhoon Yagi has recently hit Southeast Asia hard, causing many deaths and widespread damage. In response, India launched ‘Operation Sadbhav’ on September 15 to help the affected countries. India sent aid to Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos, including dry rations, clothing, medicines, water containers, and sleeping bags. Specifically, 10 tons of aid went to Myanmar, 35 tons to Vietnam, and 10 tons to Laos from the Hindon Base. Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressed India’s support for these nations during their tough times. This disaster highlights the growing problem of more severe storms due to rising ocean temperatures, emphasizing the need for immediate global climate action and assistance to the most affected areas.
