Continuous rains led to a horrific tragedy in UP`s Mathura where a water tanker collapsed on June 30. The tragic accident claimed 2 lives leaving 13 injured and creating panic among the locals.. Out of 13 injured, one of them is in critical condition. The incident occurred around 6 pm in Krishna Vihar Colony developed by the Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad. According to the information, many houses near the water tanker were affected by the incident. Debris and leaked water from the tank entered many homes, damaging electrical equipment. As soon as the incident was reported, Mathura SSP Shailesh Pandey and DM Shailendra Singh inspected the accident site. Following the incident, the opposition parties, Congress and the Samajwadi Party, called for an investigation into the Mathura accident. AAP leader Sanjay Singh sharing a post on X, blamed the BJP government for the incident and alleged that the incident was a result of corruption. Rescue operation is underway, NDRF Fire tenders and Police officials are present at the spot and are continuously monitoring the rescue operation
