Amidst the simmering Maharashtra`s NCP crisis, a war of words has ensued between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar. A few days back, Ajit Pawar attacked uncle Sharad over continuing as president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) despite being 83 while referring to other political leaders. In response, Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar while addressing a press conference on July 5 in Mumbai, attacked Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister’s remarks over taking retirement from politics and said that he is still effective, whether he 82 or 92.
