The Maharashtra Assembly election is scheduled to take place on November 20, 2024. This will be a single-phase election, with voting for all 288 seats in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The polling will begin at 7:00 AM and will continue until 6:00 PM. Following the voting, the counting of votes will take place on November 23, 2024. The election is expected to witness a highly competitive battle between the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance and the Mahayuti Alliance, both of which are preparing for a dramatic contest for power. On election day, a dry day will be observed in Mumbai and other cities across Maharashtra, meaning the sale and consumption of alcohol will be prohibited throughout the state.
