Kolkata rape horror has continued to garner headlines with junior doctors still protesting. Junior doctors from the WB Junior Doctors Front recently met with West Bengal’s Chief Secretary at Nabanna, seeking resolutions to their ongoing concerns. The meeting, held on September 19, concluded with the doctors expressing a mix of dissatisfaction and cautious optimism. While some issues were acknowledged, the lack of concrete commitments left many feeling unresolved. On 19th September, the West Bengal Junior Doctors Front reported that officials declined to meet any of their demands following a meeting with Chief Secretary Manoj Pant at Nabanna on the evening of 18th September. The junior doctors expressed disappointment over the lack of agreement on key issues affecting their working conditions. They have continued to protest with their demands.
