West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet with junior doctors again at her home at 5 pm on September 16. This will be the fifth and final meeting attempt. The junior doctors have asked for the meeting to be live-streamed. This request follows Mamata Banerjee’s visit to their protest site outside Swasthya Bhavan, where she promised to address their demands. On September 14, Mamata Banerjee had already met with a group of 15 junior doctors at her residence. She also visited the protesting doctors and assured them that their concerns would be tackled, and action would be taken against those responsible for recent incidents. She expressed deep concern, saying the protest and the tragic rape and murder of a 2nd-year PG student at RG Kar Medical College on August 9 were causing her significant distress.
