Poonawalla highlighted that the Calcutta High Court`s decision to transfer the investigation to the CBI indicates a lack of trust in the state government`s handling of the case. He accused Banerjee of failing in her constitutional and moral duties, suggesting she should resign immediately. Poonawalla further condemned her for allegedly trivializing the violence that occurred on August 14-15 by attributing it to political factions, accusing her party, TMC, of an anti-Hindu bias and failing to address the grave incident with the seriousness it demands.
