Janmashtami 2024: Devotees celebrate Kanha's birthday with full zeal, First visuals of Lord Krishna

Today marks the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna. Temples across India are abuzz with vibrant festivities. At Ujjain`s Mahakaleshwar Temple, a special Bhasm Aarti was performed, while Mumbai’s ISKCON temple hosted a grand ‘aarti’ to honor the day. In Delhi, devotees gathered in large numbers at both the Laxmi Narayan and ISKCON temples, seeking blessings and partaking in the celebrations. The Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple in Mathura, Krishna`s birthplace, witnessed a fervent Morning Aarti as the curtains were drawn to reveal the deity. In Ahmedabad and Telangana, ISKCON temples were filled with enthusiastic devotees, marking the event with prayers and joy. The entire nation is immersed in the celebrations, with temples beautifully adorned with lights and flowers, as followers of Lord Krishna come together to commemorate this sacred day. Janmashtami 2024 is being celebrated with great vigour across India.
