Janmashtami 2023: Devotees celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna throughout India

On the special occasion of Janmasthmani 2023, devotees thronged ISKON temple in Bengaluru, while the city of Mathura was decked up ahead of the festival. Janmashtami 2023 is celebrated on September 6 and 7 throughout the country. Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna who is considered the eighth manifestation of Lord Vishnu. Janmashtami is an auspicious festival of our country and people celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna with great joy and enthusiasm. Markets were decked up with huge stocks ahead of Krishna Janmashtami in Haryana’s Ambala. While a five day long Janmashtami fair commenced in Gujarat`s Rajkot.
