Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations are going on in full swing. On September 8, the Shrimant Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple witnessed an impressive congregation of over 42,000 women, who came together to recite the Ganpati `Atharvasirsa` prayers as part of the Ganeshotsav celebrations. This event marked Rishi Panchami, the second day of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, highlighting the spiritual significance of the occasion. Women from across the city donned traditional attire and assembled early in the morning to partake in the ritual, demonstrating their devotion and reverence. The Ganesh Chaturthi festival, renowned for its vibrant celebrations, honors Lord Ganesha as the deity of new beginnings, wisdom, and obstacle removal. Mahesh Suryawanshi, Treasurer of the Dagduseth Halwai Ganpati Trust, proudly noted that their collective effort was recognized by India World Record, which awarded them a certificate for this extraordinary feat. The event underscored the deep cultural and religious significance of the festival.
