On July 28, students held a massive protest in Delhi after three UPSC aspirants died when a coaching center basement flooded. The protestors, demanding justice, staged a candle march and chanted “We want justice” slogans. They are calling for action against the authorities for negligence. MCD officials met with the students, promising to take proper action. The Delhi Police have arrested the owner and coordinator of the coaching center. In response to the incident, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has sealed the basements of 13 Civil Services Institutes in Old Rajender Nagar.
