In a recent shocker, Hindu devotees in Canada’s Brampton were attacked and beaten inside a temple by Khalistani extremists. The attack was carried out on a consular camp co-organised with the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton by Khalistani extremists. Condemning the recent attack, the Indian High Commission in Canada said, “It is deeply disappointing to see disruptions”. The attack by anti-India elements was also condemned by Canadian PM Trudeau, who said, “Acts of violence are unacceptable”. Emphasizing the importance of religious freedom, Trudeau asserted that every Canadian has the right to practice their faith freely, safely. Meanwhile, the latest violence was also condemned by Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre and Canadian MP Chandra Arya. The recent attack adds to a string of similar incidents documented in recent years, underscoring a distressing trend of religious intolerance.
