Bangladesh protests: What happened on 5th August? S Jaishankar explains in Rajya Sabha

On August 6, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke on the Bangladesh protest. He revealed what actually happened on 5th of August and how ex PM Sheikh Hasina resigned. He briefed the Rajya Sabha about the situation in Bangladesh. He explained that on August 5, people gathered in Dhaka despite a curfew. After meeting with security leaders, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina decided to step down. She urgently requested permission to come to India and also asked for flight clearance from Bangladeshi officials. We approved her request quickly, and she arrived in Delhi the previous evening.
