Indian heroes of 1999 Kargil war, Balwan Singh and Havildar Yogender Singh Yadav, recounted tales of valour ahead of an annual day to celebrate the victory. The Kargil War was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan that took place in the summer of 1999 in Kargil region of northern state of Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere along the Line of Control (LoC).
