PM Modi said there was a detailed roadmap in the BJP manifesto, released a day ago, for every section of society in India
Modi, speaking at a public meeting at Kattakada in the Attingal Lok Sabha constituency, reached out to the coastal community in Kerala by promising to safeguard the coastline, protect their livelihoods and ensure a dignified life for them
Modi also said that the law and order situation in Kerala was in the news for the political killings in the state and the offences against women due to the ineffective rule by the Congress and Left all these years
asserted more was yet to be done for Kerala and the nation's progress and solicited the support of the southern state for the BJP-led alliance in the Lok Sabha polls
The PM in his rally in Tirunelveli, made a Tamil-centric pitch, reiterating setting up Thiruvalluvar centres and labeled Congress and the DMK as "sinners" over ceding of Katchatheevu islet to Sri Lanka
"The party manifesto has given importance to Tamil language. Will work to bring Tamil Nadu's heritage sights on the global tourist map. BJP is resolved to set up, all over the world, Thiruvalluvar Cultural centers," he said
"Our fishermen brothers get the punishment for the sins of the DMK and Congress," he said, in an apparent reference to the frequent arrests of Tamil Nadu fishermen by Sri Lanka
He also accused the DMK of insulting the legacy of late Chief Minister M G Ramachandran (MGR) and said the Dravidian party had "ill treated" late AIADMK matriarch J Jayalalithaa in the state assembly, alluding to the unruly scenes in the House in 1989
For the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the polling in Tamil Nadu will be held on April 19 and in Kerala on April 26
