A former tax consultant from Kolkata, West Bengal, 32-year-old Oindrila Bala carved a niche for herself in Masterchef India Season 6. Not only did the chef from Kolkata win hearts, but was also termed as the 'Dessert Queen' of the show.
Although she lost the Masterchef India Season 6 trophy to Abinas Nayak, Oindrila was declared the runner up of the show. On Instagram, Oindrila describes herself as Masterchef India Season 6 Finalist and an avid traveller, lover of pups, food & drinks. Her gram bio read: A pretty sane person in general!
Did you know? Oindrila Bala quit her nine-year job as a tax consultant with an auditing firm to pursue her passion for cooking. In the past, Oindrila made many attempts to join the Masterchef India journey but could only make it to the top 60 in her last attempt.

Besides being a tax consultation and chef, Oindrila Bala is also an excellent baker. The 32-year-old baker from Kolkata started 'The Sweet Spot' - a dessert boutique in Kolkata in January 2019. Since then, there has been no turning back for Oindrila.
Although she didn't win any task, Oindrila became a household name when she impressed Chef Ranveer Brar, Chef Vikas Khanna, and Chef Vineet Bhatia on Masterchef India Season 6 show with her baking skills and her knack for all things sweet. From being in the top 30 contestants to become a part of Top 5 to eventually losing out the championship to Abinas Nayak, Oindrila has come a long way on her Masterchef India season 6 journey.
