In a BJP parliamentary party meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the opposition alliance, INDIA, as the most directionless the country has ever seen. He invoked historical references, including the East India Company and banned extremist and terror outfits like the Indian Mujahideen, to emphasize that people cannot be misled solely by the use of the country's name.

PM Modi expressed confidence that the ruling dispensation will retain power at the Centre for a third term after the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. He commended the current atmosphere in India, stating that it resembles a "new dawn" with a mood of optimism and hope about the country globally.

Regarding the opposition alliance's name 'INDIA,' the Prime Minister cited the history of various organizations, including extremist groups, using the country's name to mislead people. He referred to the Indian National Congress, the main opposition party, which was named by an Englishman, A O Hume.

PM Modi asserted that people have matured and will not be misled by such nomenclature. He also addressed the issue of disruptions in Parliament, with the BJP accusing opposition parties of being irresponsible. The opposition has been demanding a statement from Modi on the Manipur issue before engaging in a debate, while the BJP insists that Home Minister Amit Shah will respond during the debate.

The Prime Minister emphasized maintaining strong and cordial ties with allies, referring to the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, which he called the legacy of BJP stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani.

Furthermore, Modi urged party leaders to organize various programs, including 'har ghar tiranga,' in connection with Independence Day on August 15. There are also plans to create an 'Amrit Van' (Amrit forest) by planting trees from different blocks across the country.

Members from various opposition parties, including the Congress, have been demanding a comprehensive statement by the Prime Minister on the situation in Manipur. The parties have been protesting the ethnic violence in Manipur and have been demanding a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
