Mid-day bagged three awards and a special jury award at the prestigious Press Club Mumbai RedInk Awards for excellence in journalism.

Mid-day city editor Vinod Kumar Menon won three prizes including a winner's trophy in the Health and Wellness category for his series of articles on malnutrition deaths in Maharashtra in 2013.
He was a runner-up in the Crime News category for his reportage on the Bhandara rape case and also won a special jury award in the Human Rights category for his articles on Captain Sunil James who was imprisoned in Togo.
Sports reporter Amit Kamath clinched the second prize in the Sports News category for his October 2013 story on Sports Authority of India's Kandivli campus where athletes had to put up with appalling conditions.
