Two persons were arrested for allegedly trying to break into a shop and for stealing two- wheelers in Khopoli town of Maharashtra''s Raigad district, police said on Wednesday.

The Khopoli police arrested Ganesh Jamdade (19) and Vikas Kamble (27), both hailing from Pimpri of Pune, under sections 380 (theft) and 457 (housebreaking), among other provisions of the IPC, an official said.
The duo was caught while trying to break in to a wine shop in Khopoli town on January 27, the official said, adding that while one of the accused fled the scene, the other was nabbed with a stolen motorcycle.
Kamble was subsequently nabbed from Pimpri, he said.
Investigations have revealed that Kamble has 37 cases of theft and housebreaking to his name at 11 police stations in Pune district, the official said.
Two stolen two-wheelers were seized from the duo and another case has been registered in this regard at Chinchwad police station, he added.
