Nearly 4.29 lakh voters will decide the fate of 55 candidates for the upcoming polls in four constituencies in the Maharashtra legislative council, the officials told PTI.
The biennial elections to the Mumbai Graduates, Mumbai Teachers, Konkan Graduates, and Nashik Teachers constituencies in the upper house of the state legislature are scheduled for June 26. The results will be declared on July 1, as reported by the PTI.

The terms for sitting members are expiring in July.
In the Mumbai Graduates constituency, there are reportedly eight candidates in the fray. The main contest is expected between Kiran Shelar of the BJP and former state minister Anil Parab of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
According to the news agency report, there are a total of 1,20,771 people eligible to cast a vote. It includes 71,010 men, 49,755 women, and six others, an election official said.
In the Mumbai Teachers constituency, there are 13 candidates, including Shiv Sena (UBT) nominee J. M. Abhayankar and NCP's Shivaji Nalawade, according to the PTI report.
The Shiv Sena is supporting independent nominee Shivaji Shendge, and the BJP is supporting independent candidate Shivnath Darade.
There are 15,839 voters in the Mumbai Teachers constituency, including 11,886 women and 3,953 men.
The Konkan Graduates constituency will see a direct fight between MLC Niranjan Davkhare of the BJP and Congress candidate Ramesh Keer. As per the agency report, there are a total of 13 candidates in the fray in the Kokan Graduates constituency.
The constituency comprises 2,23,408 eligible voters: 95,611 women, 1,27,769 men, and 28 others.
Reportedly, the Nashik Teachers constituency has 21 candidates. They include Sandeep Gulve of the Shiv Sena (UBT), independent nominee Vivek Kolhe, and Shiv Sena nominee Kishore Darade.
The constituency comprises 69,368 eligible voters. It includes 22,865 female voters and 46,503 male voters.
Out of 78 seats in the legislative council, the BJP has 22 members, the Shiv Sena (undivided) has 11 members, the NCP (undivided) has 9 and Congress has 8. The JD (U), Peasants and Workers Party, and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha have one member each, while the candidates' list includes four independent candidates. 21 seats are reportedly vacant.
Notably, after the split in these parties, most of the MLCs from the Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena have switched sides to the factions led by Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, respectively.
