Amid severe heatwave conditions, parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed light rain showers on Wednesday evening bringing some respite to people, reported PTI.
This sudden change in weather is likely to bring some respite to people.

Visuals from Delhi's India Gate, RK Puram, Chhattarpur, Ashoka Road and parts of Noida showed the sky covered with clouds, said the PTI report.
A heatwave warning was issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for several states in the northern part of the country including Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday.
As per the IMD, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions is likely over most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, many parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, parts of West Madhya Pradesh, isolated parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Jammu division.
However, the Met also predicted light intensity rain/drizzle and winds with a speed of 20-30 km per hour would occur "over and adjoining areas of isolated places of" Delhi and NCR, Kharkhoda, Jhajjar, Sohana, Palwal, Nuh, Aurangabad, Hodal (Haryana) Jattari, Khair (Uttar Pradesh) during the remaining part of the day.
As per the PTI report, the IMD has predicted that a gradual fall in maximum temperatures by 3-4 degree Celsius is very likely over Northwest and Central India during the next three-four days.
The maximum temperatures were markedly above normal at a few places over Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on May 28, as per the IMD data.

Delhi's Mungeshpur experienced a record-breaking high temperature of 52.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, marking the highest temperature ever recorded in the national capital.
Mungeshpur reported 48.3 degrees Celsius on May 26. Kuldeep Srivastava, Head of the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, stated that the highest temperature of the season was recorded at the Mungeshpur automatic weather station, reported ANI.
According to the report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for many northern states, including Delhi, on Wednesday and Thursday. The IMD predicts severe heatwaves across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Jammu.
