Industrialist and former municipal council president of Shirur taluka, Rasiklal Manikchand Dhariwal, 78, who was battling cancer, died at Ruby Hall clinic on Tuesday due to a multi-organ failure.

The company was initially producing tobacco under the name of Manikchand, but later started making paan masala, mouth freshener and packaged drinking water. They had even started an educational institute.
