The US President become the topic of social media jokes after he called the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, son of a chiwala instead of chaiwala, gave a reference to the Vedas by calling the scriptures the 'Vestas' and botched the pronounciations of former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and social reformer Swami Vivekananda.
Even as Trump was praised for paying his respects to the Indian film industry, colloquially called as Bollywood, he also mispronounced the cult films 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' (DDLJ) and 'Sholay', which he pronounced as 'Shojay.'
Here's how the Twitterati reacted on Trump's mispronunciations:
Who thought it was a good idea to get Trump to try and pronounce Swami Vivekananda on stage?

Something about Donald Trump's pronunciation of Sachin Tendulkar tells me he isn't a huge cricket fan pic.twitter.com/stFhq46MLx

A+ grade to Trump speech writers. Haven't heard the speech hut what I am seeing on twitter suggests good homework on today's India. On pronunciation, Trump struggles with English words, like 'anonymous'. Swami Vivekananda more than a mouthful for him.
