The satellite image of September 20, 2021, shows that China has constructed at least 60 buildings in the Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh, reported NDTV. Another satellite image has revealed that it has also constructed new villages in Bhutan territory near Doklam in the last year.

The new enclave, located 93 km east of a village constructed in Arunachal Pradesh by China, has come up over the last year, as it didn’t exist in 2019, according to the report. The Indian Army told NDTV, ‘’The location...mentioned...lies to the North of LAC (Line of Actual Control) in Chinese territory.’’
“This statement does not refute the fact that construction of this enclave seems to lie between the Line of Actual Control and the International Boundary, in other words, within Indian territory illegally occupied by China,” NDTV stated.
Villages near Doklam
China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has built four villages in about 100 sqkm in Bhutan territory near Doklam between May 2020 and November 2021. It seems that construction started at the same time when the PLA had ingressed into Indian territory at multiple locations in eastern Ladakh and the Sikkim sector.
The Doklam plateau was in the limelight in 2017 when the Indian Army and China’s PLA were locked in the standoff for over 70 days. The Chinese had to retreat from the area after the Indian troops contested the plateau.
In 2017, China was making infrastructural development work at Doklam to which India objected. China then claimed that there was a boundary dispute between Bhutan and China and to which India had no claims.
However, India refused and stood there matching the deployment of the Chinese troops for 73 days. Last month, China and Bhutan signed a pact on a three-step roadmap to resolve their boundary disputes.
