Au00a0woman and her three accomplices who robbed a businessman at gun point have been arrested by the Delhi police. DCP West V Ranganathan said the accused looted the businessman in Punjabi Bagh area in west Delhi on June 7.

They followed Simran Narula in a Skoda car till his home and as soon as he got off the car, they robbed him atu00a0gunpoint. They then quickly made their exit. Police have impounded the Skoda car. "The woman, Rajinder Kaur (46), and one of her associates Manoj Anand (42) have been arrested. Two are still on the run," said the DCP.

Police said Simran Narula had got an FIR registered with the police that he was looted by four goons including a woman to the tune of Rs 5 lakh at gun point. He told the police that the assailants came in a white Skoda and a woman was driving the car.

According to the police, the victim runs a furniture showroom in Kirti Nagar area. Narula was returning home after work when the incident took place. He reached home and parked his car outside the house.

"He got off the car carrying a bag containing Rs 5 lakhs in cash. Just then the accused reached the spot in a Skoda. They took Narula at gun point and looted his cash and fled from the crime scene," said the senior police official.u00a0

An FIR was finally registered with Punjabi Bagh Police Station in this respect. Police checked the phone call records of the employees of the victim and got a vital clue about the criminals. The official said one of Narula's employees named Surender Singh received a call on his mobile phone from an ex-employee named Manoj Anand a few minutes before the complainant left for home with the cash.

The police suspected Manoj's role in the crime and interrogated him. He broke down and confessed his crime. He told the police he used to work at Narula's showroom as a salesman till four months ago and was aware of the fact that Narula carries cash with him. He had called Surender to know whether Narula had left office. The police said Surender gave away the information without knowing Manoj's intention. The police have recovered Rs 3.50 lakhs and have impounded the Skoda Octavia car.
