Camcorder attached to wrist records how man died after he jumped headfirst into a rock in Sanapur lake
Daniel Goodman (30), an amateur videographer from UK has accidentally recorded his own death. Goodman who took what turned out to be his final leap into Sanapur Lake near the world-famous heritage site Hampi.

A waterproof camcorder tied to his wrist recorded his death and being considered documentary evidence of the cause of his death to the local police.
"He has recorded his death, which is strange," said Mulasavalagi, DYSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Gangavati. "We found it on camera that was strapped to his body."
Goodman arrived in Hampi on February 22 with three friends and checked into Gon Corner, a popular lodge. The next day he went missing after he went for a swim at Sanapur lake.u00a0
Search operation
The police launched a search operation immediately with some assistance from Belgaum's Akshatha Underwater Service, a team of rescuers. Daniel's body was fished out of the lake yesterday.u00a0
"We found a camera in his hand. The last video clip revealed how he died. The two-minute clip shows how he jumped from a height of about 60 feet and hit a rock underwater that killed him instantly. The clip recorded his last moments," said Mulasavalagi.u00a0
"The police learnt from his friends that Goodman had an habit of shooting his swimming experiences," said Rachaiah, a photojournalist present at the spot.
