Two kids among four killed under overturned truck in Bihar

Four persons, including two children, were killed when a pipe-laden truck overturned and fell on them on NH-28 in Samastipur district, a police officer said

Samastipur (Bihar): Four persons, including two children, were killed when a pipe-laden truck overturned and fell on them on NH-28 in Samastipur district, a police officer said.

The accident took place near the Cold Storage Chowk under Tajpur police station area when the truck driver hurriedly applied brakes upon seeing a tractor in front of his vehicle. The truck overturned and fell on the four persons who were walking on the road, Superintendent of Police Nawal Kishore Singh said.

All four died on the spot.

Efforts were on to ascertain the identity of the victims. The truck driver fled from the spot, he said.
