Two boys drown in water tank in Nashik

Two teenage boys drowned in a water percolation tank in Sinnar taluka in Nashik, when they stepped in for a swim, police said on Thursday

Nashik: Two teenage boys drowned in a water percolation tank in Sinnar taluka in Nashik, when they stepped in for a swim, police said on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday after the duo, identified as Amol Bhaskar Wagh (19) and Tushar Ashok Wagh (17), failed to judge the water levels, they said.

The boys were immediately rushed to a rural hospital, where they were pronounced dead following which the bodies were handed over to their families after postmortem.
