"Jobs in retail banking have been on the rise over the last quarter of 2008 and the first quarter of 2009. Several banks are looking to launch branches in smaller cities and towns. They want to work at the grassroot level. Obviously then, managerial jobs are on offer. Health is also flourishing: hospitals are considering starting units in villages and townships. This opens up employment opportunities for infrastructure as well."

"Every small district or town has a hospital, so staff is required. Vocational teaching jobs are up for grabs as are instructors' jobs for competitive exams. Thanks to the green movement, energy conservation and alternate energy sources are looking for employees too as is the telecomm industry. After the 26/11 attacks, the demand for security services have gone up, not just physical but the installments of safety equipment like spy cameras, CCTVs et al."
